Southend-on-Sea Borough Council in the top ten for recycling

Official figures rate Southend-on-Sea Borough Council in the country’s top ten for recycling a wide range of materials from kerbside collections.
This was revealed in a national survey of 397 local authorities conducted by the Government’s Waste and Resources Action Programme.

Acute stroke unit to open at Southend University Hospital
